Plaques were provided for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places of all 3 races but the Pièce de résistance was the Men's Elite Race Trophy, a coal cobble mounted on a solid oak plinth. The coal was kindly donated by J Brown & Son Ltd Coal Merchants in Barnsley and mined from Kellingley Colliery in Yorkshire which is one of the newest of the deep mines left in Britain.

It was an honour to see Dean "Deano" Downing, win the Elite Men's Race and lift the trophy on the Podium. Dean is a well known local pro rider who rides for NFTO Pro Cycling and is due to retire at the end of this season.
